The Fulton Schools is expanding to the West Valley

At today’s West Valley Forward event, President Crow announced that the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering will play an integral role in growing Arizona State University’s presence in the West Valley. ASU has plans to launch the School of Integrated Engineering on ASU’s West campus. The new school represents FSE’s commitment to the community and advancing engineering education in the West Valley. 

FSE’s new interdisciplinary school advances ASU’s charter mission to assume fundamental responsibility for the economic, social, cultural and overall health of the communities we serve. By establishing this school, FSE aims to create the infrastructure and opportunity to foster increased community, industry and government engagement.

The new school will offer degrees that are intentionally designed to be flexible and adapted to the multidisciplinary interests of students and that will provide a broad foundation in math, science and engineering across traditional disciplines. Students will have the opportunity to specialize in areas aligned with their interests, honing their skills and knowledge in particular areas. The program’s multidisciplinary approach will ensure that graduates will be equipped with the necessary tools to solve complex, real-world problems and contribute to innovative technological advancements in their respective fields.

Aligning with one of our central goals to train the highly skilled engineering talent who can meet the demands of an evolving global workforce, the Fulton Schools will be investing in hiring new faculty and staff to support the School of Integrated Engineering as we expand access to a broader segment of ASU students, drawing from both Arizona residents as well as new students from around the world.  

West Valley schools, organizations and companies will also benefit from the Fulton Difference programs, including Engineering Projects in Community Service, student organizations, K-12 outreach programs and the Grand Challenge Scholars Program — all to be available on the West campus.
